The Mill House was built in the 1790's as part of a large sugar plantation called Friendly Hall and was restored in the 1960's. It has the atmosphere of a French country house, with thick coral walls, high ceilings, and open patios bordered on one side by a stone wall. The original Mill Tower remains in the secluded yard, surrounded by palm trees, spider lilies, and brilliantly colored frangipani and bougainvillea. A constructed in-ground reservoir used to hold water for processing sugar cane remains in another corner of the property.The Mill House property encompasses 24,067 sq feet or approximately 2/3 of an acre of land on a flat 203' x 89' site. Three bedrooms, two baths, a modern kitchen, and a gracious living and dining room, each with french doors leading to an outer courtyard, comprise the 2,150 sq. ft. main building. There is also a small, 2-room out-building near the kitchen that consists of a very simple bedroom and a utility room for storage.
