This complex, was in the past, a convent. It is located in beautiful Sarteano, along the walls of the historic centre. Spread over three floors as well as the surrounding courtyard where there is a building in ruins and adjacent land. The entire property is used as a tourist accommodation. The 'L' shape of the ground floor extends along a central body where there are large hallways with access to seven bedrooms with living rooms and private bathrooms. Located along the main body there is a veranda used as a communal reading room used by all guests. The basement, accessible from the courtyard and from a staircase leading down from the ground floor, is the restaurant area, here there is a portico, a hallway to the guest reception and various storage rooms, cellars and woodshed.

The property is constructed of stone, with wooden ceilings with painted brick and partly with plastered vaulted ceilings, a roof with traditional cotto tiles. External walls are of exposed stone. Internally this historic residence has been finished with cotto and ceramic floors, partly plastered and partly stone walls, bathrooms and kitchens are fully tiled. Wood interior doors, windows and patio doors in some cases with interior shutters. The property is equipped with electricity, water and heating.

The property, built directly onto the old walls of Sarteano, offers its guests the possibility to enjoy ancient spaces and relaxing quiet. The hotel restaurant has 4 double bedrooms, 2 triples and 1 quadruple. Each room contains fragments of monastic life. The quadruple room, which overlooks the Val di Chiana and Lakes Trasimeno, Chiusi and Montepulciano, was formerly lived in by the Abbess: inside is still the original oven for baking.

The decor of the rooms is in harmony with the environment and ceilings remain intact with beams. Guests have access to a good selection of local wines, especially Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Chianti Classico.
