The successful candidate will manage a team providing a professional and comprehensive administration service to existing and prospective clients in conjunction with a director and in line with strategic objectives set by the Group Board
Responsibilities
Proactively manage the operation of the team through the diarising, checking, delegating and controlling of workloads, ensuring a professional service is provided to clients and intermediaries
Interpret, plan, implement and reinforce strategy and activities consistent with the overall aims and requirements of the Group
Manage and prioritise the administration, timely billing, fee collection, management of debtors and population of income to target relative to the clients within the teams portfolio and approved KPIs
Liaise with accounts team with regard to the preparation of annual and periodic financial statements and conduct account reviews
When required to work on a new business enquiry, ensure all forms of communication are dealt with within an acceptable timeframe, and that resources and services provided by the Group are fully explained and promoted
Attend and participate at client meetings, either on or off site.
Review client structures and be aware of risk exposure, including fulfilment of responsibilities under the review procedures
Remain aware of the obligations for the reporting of unusual transactions and act as a guide to the team in this respect
Conduct annual appraisals and interim reviews
Skills
Possess a professional qualification (minimum of 5 years practical experience within the fiduciary/ administration industry) Degree level
Adept in the use of MS Windows, in particular Excel and Word, the intranet and email
Candidates require very strong people management skills, with the ability to oversee/manage a busy corporate portfolio as well as a team ranging from Assistant Administrator to Senior Administrator.
Candidates must be classified as ‘Entitled’ or ‘Entitled to Work’ under the Jersey Control; of Housing & Work Law
