DEPARTMENT - Subsea Manifold and Pipeline Systems

RESPONSIBILITIES
•Works independently to establish design requirements, conceptualize, plan and
execute technical deliverables
•Provide leadership and guidance to team of engineers, designers and drafters for
assigned project
•Responsible to ensure all engineering scope for assigned project meets customer
requirements and is delivered on time
•Work with Project Planner and Project Manager to plan, generate and maintain
engineering schedule of assigned projects
•Technical focal point for all communication with customer and internal project team
•Collaborate closely with internal project team members to ensure successful project
execution
•Review and interpret customer technical specifications and industry codes
•Review and approve engineering documents, including specifications, drawings, MEL (Master Equipment List), DBI (Data Base Information), ECN (Engineering Change Notice), design documents and procedures
•Facilitate design reviews
•Provide expert technical support to equipment manufacturing, fabrication, assembly,
test and installation activities
•Investigate non-conformances and provide technical disposition. Identify root cause
of any technical problems and propose solutions to ensure corrective and preventive
actions are implemented
•Actively contribute to department discussions relating to technical issues, lessons
learnt, organizational development etc.
•Assist with competency development of others through mentoring, training sessions
etc.

MAIN TASKS
Creates reviews and approves subsea equipment designs, specifications, procedures etc. involving existing and new technology or applications. Takes lead technical role for a work package in a project, tender or FEED study. Ensures that projects meet specifications, standards, performance requirements, within quoted cost and schedule. Works independently to establish design requirements, conceptualize, plan and execute designs. Provides technical focal point to the customer. Provide leadership in technical support to equipment manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, test and installation activities.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor of Science or Engineering.
•Minimum 5 years of engineering design experience with Subsea Systems equipment.
Some experience specific to Subsea Manifolds, Connections and Pipeline Systems is
required.
•Practical site fabrication and/or offshore structure installation experience is preferred.
•Demonstrated ability to apply advanced principles and industry knowledge to create
functional and cost effective designs that meet complex specification requirements.
•Able to work independently and interface with multiple stakeholders in a fast paced
project environment.
•Demonstrated ability to provide clear technical direction and make decisions.
•Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers.
•Outstanding customer communication and presentation skills.
•Fluent in English. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Good organization and project planning skills.
•Good understanding of economic factors (cost, margin, profit impact of decisions).
