The apartment contains 550 sq., m. of living space and consists of the following:

At the basement level there is a taverna, a bathroom, a laundry room, boiler room, as well as two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. These could be used for guests or house staff. There are also 3 large garages.

At the ground floor level there is a spacious atrium and entrance hall with large windows affording panoramic views overlooking the park and lake, a spacious kitchen (which also has a separate entrance to the outside), a living room containing a feature fireplace and dining room from which there is access to the garden. In addition there is a study, a guest bathroom, and stairs to the basement. The sleeping area consists of a main master suite, which offers a spectacular panoramic view of the lake and the mountains, a private bathroom with marble floors and walls. In addition

there is a walk-in closet, a beautiful balcony with access to the garden. There is also a separate staircase to access the guest rooms.

External

The apartment has a large swimming pool from which there is breath taking panoramic views of the lake and mountains beyond, as well as Como Town.

The pool area also houses a changing room, two bathrooms, a sauna and Turkish bath (which is situated below the pool). In the grounds close to the villa there is a large wrought iron Liberty style gazebo, an area for sunbathing surrounded by flowering beds and shrubs. There is also a period glass greenhouse comprising of several storage rooms for garden tools and furniture.

Additional Information

The Apartment has a security system which includes video intercom, security cameras, alarms, for the apartment and at the perimeter of the garden, armoured doors and windows.

All electrical wiring is new (10kV capacity) and the floor coverings include marble, wood, antiques tiles (Lombardy - cotto Lombardo), large windows and intricately decorated doors. The decor throughout the apartment has much kept as far as possible to the time of when the villa was constructed revealing richly decorated panelling (bouaserie) of wood and marble, luxurious finishes in bathrooms and old terrace. Many of the rooms have been restored by hand back to the original painting of the villa and so carefully restored.

Location

Como Town is the capital of the Province of Como and as such has excellent accessibility with very good transport links as well as a prominent commercial and retail centre. Which is evidenced by the fact that 215,320 visits to Como making it the fourth most visited city in Lombardy after Milan, Bergamo and Brescia.

Its proximity to the Alps has made Como a popular tourist destination and the city contains numerous works of art, churches, gardens, museums, theatres, parks and palaces: the Duomo (seat of Diocese of Como), the Basilica of Sant'Abbondio, the Villa Olmo, the public gardens with the Tempio Voltiano, the Teatro Sociale, the Broletto (the city's medieval town hall) and the 20th century Casa del Fascio.

Como was the birthplace of many historically notable figures, including literary figures of Pliny the Elder and the Younger, Pope Innocent XI, the scientist Alessandro Volta,[4] and Cosima Liszt, second wife of Richard Wagner and long-term director of the Bayreuth Festival.
