ASSISTANT ENGINEER (CIVIL/STRUCTURAL) - ***HONG KONG

Our Client is looking for Assistant Civil/Structural Engineers to join the Hong Kong team. They are consistently associated with landmark projects all over Asia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Analysing configurations of basic structural components
- Calculate the strains and stresses of each component that will be effected from human use and environmental pressures
- Evaluate the strengths of various materials and see the effects of their inclusion
- You will liaise with other Designers, Architects and Client’s to meet expected requirements and to ensure all design work comply to health and safety regulations
- Liaise with construction Contractors to ensure all structural work is sound and on schedule
- Investigate ground conditions and analyse the results of site tests, like soil samples

DETAILED You will be working under the guidance of a Senior Structural Engineer. You will design structures that are built to withstand such pressures as weather and human use. You will ensure that the integrity of these structures is to Clients’ standards and requirements. You will be working closely with Architects, Contractors, Developers, and Clients. You will conduct tests, provide and present results and advise on the design and materials of structures.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
- MUST have minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Analysis & design capability in Civil/Tunnel/Structural/Geotechnical engineering
- Able to demonstrate understanding of engineering principles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of integrity and professionalism
- Fluent in Cantonese and English
- Good problem solving skills
