Both the International Airport and Belize City are less than 10 minutes away. More importantly, some of Belize's best fishing grounds are less than 15 minutes away by boat from the Lodge. This is indeed Belize's ultimate saltwater safari. The Belize River Lodge pioneered the live-aboard or mother-ship system of fishing using a larger boat as a mobile lodge to access more remote areas of Belize's waterways. The lodge employs 7 to 8 of the finest fishing guides in the country and uses a high-attention ratio of 4 guides to every 8 guests.
