JOB TITLE

Civil Design Engineer *** HONG KONG

To cope with the rapid expansion, our client is inviting high calibre personnel to fill the following position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Accountable for all civil and structural design work

- Examine risks and structural integrity, calculate pressures, consider the strengths of various materials

- Assist and review on detailed drawings and plans for civil and structural designs

- Responsible for submitting all Technical Drawings and work schedules for approval

- Proficient ability to lead design team: delegate tasks and complete work to Client deadline

- Liaise with Contractors, Clients, Architects

- Ensure designs fit Client requirements and specifications and ensure designs meet health and safety standards and regulations

- Throughout construction process, inspect all Structural work and overcome unforeseen design issues

- Attend and deliver meetings and presentations

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Higher Diploma / Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
- MUST have previous experience in design submissions and design auditing
- Member of HKIE (Structural or Civil) would be ADVANTAGEOUS
- Knowledgeable in software programs ie, ETABS, STAAD
- Self motivated individual, forward thinking with strong communication skills
- Minimum 5 years working experience, must have previously worked on bridges, retaining wall, drainage, waterworks, site formation, pipe, piling and temporary work designs.
- Fluent in Cantonese and English.
