Opis:

The noble front door soars proudly in the corner of the tapered property. While in the garden nature in the form of young spruce and fir trees, Lebanon cedars and Norway maples dominate, the floral language continues inside the villa. Arched or undulating facades, eggs and darts and richly adorned bordures are very characteristic for the villa. Detailed crafted door knobs and etched glass windows with acanthus leaves and rocailles continue the interplay of ornaments in detail. Inside, the heritage villa shines thanks to extensive and cautious restoration efforts carried out by the architectural office Grankova to bring it back to its original 1924 state.
Technology and building services are not imposing, but, instead remain unobtrusive. The historical appearance has priority. Hardwood floors from nut-bearing trees, textile wallpaper and generous rich stucco on the walls and ceilings take the residents and visitors alike on a journey through the eras. A wooden staircase leads to the upper floor and then to the top floor.
The magnificent garden is based on a draft by Albert Esch, the most important garden architect of his time.

Location

The Cottage district in Dobling is one of the most attractive and architecturally significant villa districts in Vienna. Just like a jewelry box, the district is studded with historical gems. The villa was built in 1924 and was originally a home and later used as an embassy. What sets it apart from all the others is that it is the only villa in the Cottage district to be given the status of a heritage building. A white enamel sign on the facade shares the secret.
