Opis:

Sonoma-Marin Construction seeks an enthusiastic, experienced Division Manager to join our team. The Division Manager will be responsible for all aspects of managing Sonoma-Marin Construction’s concrete division for residential and commercial projects. The position will be responsible for developing strategies and managing internal process controls to ensure achievement of company revenue and profitability objectives, overseeing employees and employee needs, and all other aspects of this division.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with the President to set strategic direction and standards for operational performance, sustainability and growth of division
• Manage concrete division
• Ensure revenue goals are met
• Continually search for new sales opportunities and meet with potential clients to review project scope and conditions
• Ensure that estimates and proposals are completed accurately and on time.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, if required
• Thoroughly review plans and specifications so that accurate bidding can be completed
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Complete accurate take-offs for labor, equipment and materials
• Follow up with potential clients to ensure clients are clear with the scope of work and the pricing for the work being proposed
• Gather and track required material submittals
• Prepare and maintain bid schedule
• Monitor changes to projects and communicate changes with field personnel
• Meet periodically with Field Supervisor(s) to assist in scheduling, track job progress and address problems
• Ensure successful close out and completion of all managed projects
• Direct, plan and manage utilization of project resources (equipment, budget and personnel) to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction. Identify areas to improve operations in order to achieve or exceed key performance indicators or targets
• Manage team schedules to maximize performance, minimize overtime, plan for vacation and absences
• Responsible for hiring, training, and coaching of staff as needed
• Oversee and maintain company fleet, tools, and equipment
• Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations and company policies and SOPs
• Build and enhance relationships with customers, sub-contractors and suppliers
• Evaluate sub-contractors and trades regularly

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree preferred, work experience will be considered
• 3 to 5+ years construction management and estimating experience, concrete experience a plus
• Computer estimating skills including Excel, Word and scheduling software a must
• Construction field experience
• Able to read, understand and interpret drawings and specifications
• Able to manage multiple projects at one time
• Self-directed with a high level of initiative
• High business acumen Identifies market potential, trends and information affecting his/her business and organization; knows the markets and competition
