The estate is situated just a few minutes to the west of Figeac. Figeac is a the sub-prefecture of the Lot department, and it equidistant from Paris and Barcelona. More locally, tourists flock to Rocamadour, St Cirque La Popie & Sarlat, all within an easy drive. A great area for summer festivals.
Locally you can also enjoy the renowned Figeac Theatre Festival in July & August, the opera season at nearby Saint Cere , plus jazz and blues at Cahors and Souillac.

Transport links are good, with easy access to the A20 motorway, and a choice of airports that includes Brive, Rodez, Toulouse and Limoges.

On a historical note, between 58 and 51 BC Roman legions occupied Gaul and chose this site for their "oppidum" (military camp). The choice was based on fresh spring water and the commanding views of the beautiful Cele River valley from a south facing hillside. The springs still provide cool clear water every day.
