GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER - Contractors *** HONG KONG

Our client is one of the world’s leading design engineering and project management consultancies. They are currently looking for a high caliber candidate for the role of Geotechnical Engineer to join the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Survey and analysis of ground foundation.
- Responsible for the production of design solutions and drawings, covering a range of project requirements from new build to modification, maintenance, refurbishment, foundation design and coordinating civil or structural engineering with geotechnical assessment.
- Ensure rock slope stability,excavatability and earthworks material acceptability assessments are collated, construction supervision for geotechnical works including large scale earthworks, piling, soil nailing, rock bolting, and tunneling.
- Analysis and design of retaining walls for deep excavations with single and multilayer struts, cantilever contiguous bored pile wall, pile foundation, mat foundation, PIT test, instrumented pile load test and technical report writing.
- Responding to the contractors needs with respect to geotechnical queries and constructability/programme driven design changes.
- Supporting colleagues or directly managing project scoping, design, contractual or financial management.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Degree or above in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering or related
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) would be a definite advantage
- Registered Professional Engineer in Geotechnical Discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant working experience; candidates with less exp. will be -considered
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
