Homesteads Aged Care Service

On the hillside overlooking the Gold Coast hinterland, Homesteads Aged Care Service gives the feeling of country living, but with all the modern conveniences. Homesteads is set among beautiful grounds and gardens on the Paradise Country tourist farm site, close to the heart of Nerang. This high and low care facility provides in-house caring for people who are elderly and/or have a disability.

Homesteads has been designed to create a warm, friendly and comfortable environment where our residents can enjoy individually tailored, personal care. All of our facilities offer support for ageing in place. Community based aged care and retirement living options are offered to residents from our Gold Coast-based services.

Accommodation facilities

Forty-one residents with high and low care needs enjoy living in the four ‘house model’ homes at Homesteads Aged Care Services. The homes are tastefully furnished with comfortable lounges in the family and dining areas. Residents’ bedrooms are left to be furnished by the residents themselves if they wish. However, all rooms have their own ensuite, wall heater, ceiling fan and a 24-hour emergency call system. Plugs are provided for small appliances, telephones and UHF television aerials.

* large outdoor gazebo for church services, concerts, games, barbeques and other
social activities
* shared minibus for special trips and access to public bus services
* Gold Coast City mobile library
* ‘Snoezelen room’ – situated in the special care unit which provides stimulation in a controlled environment.
