JOB TITLE

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

An opportunity exists for a Landscape Architect to join an International Company, based in East Asia. Their current projects today are changing the urban landscape and tenders are in place for some of Hong Kong’s upcoming prestigious urban and infrastructure projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will prepare all preliminary design, technical drawings, and specifications, cost estimates
• Draft and prepare detailed development plans
• Check landscape submissions
• Perform studies in planning, environmental design, site analysis and field investigations as required
• Review reclamation plans and environmental impact statements
• Inspect the quality of the work produced and progress to ensure timely completion
• Monitor works to ensure that health and safety, standards and requirements are determined
• Advise on problems, proposed changes and offer alternative solutions for more effective regulation practice
• Liaise with Client, Consultants site personnel and local communities
• Present ideas, design and visual aids to Client
• Make public presentations complete with charts, drawings, sketches
• Maintain records, documents and correspondence related
• Assist the Supervising Officer/Landscape Architect on all duties related and assigned.

They are looking to expand their team in Hong Kong, who are currently working on several landmark projects changing and improving the urban landscape and infrastructure services. They already have ascertained a dynamic and talented workforce and are set to win major projects.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Degree in Landscape Architect
• Must be Professional member of the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects (HKILA) elected before Jan 1997 OR equivalent
• Must have at least 1 year post-qualification experience
• Grade “E” in Chinese Language
• Syllabus B English Language in HKCEE
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
