JOB TITLE

Quantity Surveyor **MTR experience

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

• Manage costs, budget of source materials, commissioning of subcontractors
• Understanding implications of health and safety regulations
• Assisting in establishing a clients requirements and analyze feasibility studies
• Allocate work to subcontractors
• Undertaking costing analysis for maintenance
• Perform risk and value management and cost control

Based in Asia, our client is at the forefront of developing major transport links. A large international work force and partners with the strength and command to compete for multi million dollar civil engineering projects, both private and public sectors.

DETAILED Manage all costs relating to project, initial calculations, final figures. Maximize expenditure, enhance value for money while achieving the required quality and clarity of work. Manage the progress of project. Prepare all documents and contracts, including bills of quantities with architect and client. Perform risk and value management and cost control. Allocate work to subcontractors, advising on specific maintenance costs and outlays. Advise on development strategies and comply to health and safety regulations.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Must have at least 5 years MTR experience
• Responsible for general post-contract administration including site records on delays and disruption events, measurement, interim payments, valuation of variation instructions, project cost control and preparing reports on project budgetary forecast and expenditures
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Able to work on site under pressure
• High degree of initiative and independence with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly self-motivated, good working attitude with a high level of professionalism and integrity
