Downeast Peapods are traditionally built, double-ended rowing boats. The first time you row or sail a Peapod yacht tender you will be hooked. They tow slick, row quick and sail sweet. These nimble row boats are fun to row, yet seakindly, stable, and safe enough for even the youngest rowing enthusiast. Designed with striking lines and constructed with true Maine craftsmanship, they are called peapods because they are shaped like a pod of peas with a stem at each end, they can easily accommodate four adults, and they row swift and effortlessly when fully loaded or light. If you have never rowed a boat like this, you will be amazed at how effortlessly it moves through the water.
Eastern White Cedar carvel planked hull fastened with copper rivets to steam-bent solid oak frames. She comes equipped with four Shaw & Tinney oars with four bronze oar locks.
She comes ready to put in the water and sail away, doubling as a daysailer for lazy days on the water with the kids. Gaff rigged, her sailing rig contains a beautifully varnished wooden mast, gaff and boom. Comes with all the ropes, sheets, halyard and dock lines.
We currently have two in stock for immediate delivery.
