General Condition
The Beneteau First 285 is a French sailboat, which was designed by Group Finot and first built-in 1985. The design is out of production. The boat was built by Beneteau in France and the United States. A total of 451 were completed during the design's production run from 1985 to 1993. The First 285 is a small recreational keel boat, built predominantly of fiberglass, with wood trim. It has a fractional sloop rig, an internally-mounted spade-type rudder, and a fixed fin keel.

Actual Condition
It is reported the Beneteau First 285 systems and engine were professionally serviced every year since our client purchased it in 2001. In 2017 the standing rigging was replaced by Northeast Rigging. There are no cosmetic issues, other than the normal wear of a 1991 sailboat. New mainsail in 2011. Jib is new as of 2008, with light use. Full bimini and canvas in good condition.
