The Cape Dory 1980 33 is a masthead sloop with powerful lines and is easily driven, responsive and stable. Designed by Carl Alberg, she is a full keel cruiser, she is sturdily constructed and is ready for your adventure. The hull is built of a solid laminate of plastic resin and fiberglass. The hull is supported by fiberglass encapsulated structural members, full and partial transverse bulkheads and molded fiberglass liners. Decks are constructed of a composite of fiberglass, resin and balsa wood core. The boat sports a long keel with a cutaway forefoot and keel hung rudder. Between 1980 and 1985, 124 Cape Dory 33's were constructed. The deck is wide and a spacious work surface with a long cockpit featuring an Edson Pedestal Stainless Wheel. The CD 33 forward cabin has been designed as a single berth resembling an \"L\". The berth may be extended and converted to a double. The forward berth is followed by a port side enclosed head and shower. There is a large hanging locker to starboard. The main saloon has opposing settees followed by a starboard side navigation station and quarter berth and a port side galley. There is a table midship that has two leaves that fold up to seat up to 6 comfortably. The settees can also function as berths, and there are wide cupboards on both sides.This boat will make a fine cruiser or liveaboard.
