General Description
Fountain is well-known and highly respected as a builder of high-performance boats. This Fountain is built for running offshore at high speeds, while still ensuring safety and great handling. A tremendously nice bonus with this performance machine is the elegant cabin that accommodates you in comfort, should you decide to overnight.

Actual Condition
It is reported that this 36' Fountain suffered a grounding. The vessel is installed with twin Super-Charged High-Performance stern drives of approximately 900 hp each; coupled to MerCruiser Speed Master 4 stern drives.

The hull exhibits gel coat gouges and scratches extending the entire keel from transition to the transom. The gouges primarily penetrate to the first layer of fiberglass, with a few, short length gouges extending into the second layer of laminate.

The gouges extend aftward to the port side trim tab; also showing twisting and gouges on the underside plate.

Observable repairs needed are:
• Stern drives are damaged beyond repair and will require complete replacements (the damaged drives were disposed).
• The stern drives were torn down for inspection.
• The starboard side gimbal housing is deformed and will require renewal as well.
• The hull damages cover a significant area of the hull bottom.

Equipment
This sale includes a 1989 Myco Triple-Axle Aluminum Trailer in a SEPARATE TRANSACTION, 38 ft. VIN # 9136HTR0289.

The trailer has triple 8 lug torsion axles, updated 4-wheel disk brakes, 7 new 16” aluminum wheels, the brake calipers and brake pads were replaced on 7/14/18. They now have less than 500 miles on them, bearings were repacked at the same time. The trailer bunks were replaced one year ago and the trailer lights were upgraded to new LED lights, (including reverse lights).

Engines
It appears that the engines may be ok with low hours, but you need to have your mechanic check them out.
