The Island Packet 37 was the successor to the very popular Island Packet 35. As with every Island Packet model, it was a continuing evolution of improvements on its smaller sister. Perhaps the major change was the collaboration between Island Packet and Edson Corporation in developing a binnacle mounted rack and pinion steering system. This eliminated the steering wheel shaft that ran between the helmsperson’s legs. Additionally, this allowed for a larger wheel, putting it within reach from the coaming as well as creating a way to move the engine controls to a more convenient position.

With the exclusive Full Foil Keel, the 37 unifies the performance attributes of modern hull and foil designs with the superior safety, enhanced steering qualities, and more sea-kindly motion in a seaway achieved with a long keel. With a 4’6” draft it’s the perfect choice for exploring the shallow waters of the East Coast, the Keys and Gulf waters of Florida and the Bahamas.
