1977 RAFIKI 37' Cutter

These Rafiki's are known for their heavy hand laid fiberglass construction.  She is a great world cruiser with the capability of going anywhere.  The Rafiki 37 is a cruising cutter designed by Stan Huntingford, based on an earlier Colin Archer concept. Her double-ender design makes her comfortable in all seas with minimal quarter-wave drag considering her quite heavy displacement. Wide and spacious decks provide a safe stable working platform. Cutter rigged, she comes with a full inventory of sails, and is tiller steered with an outboard rudder and Aries wind vane.

The Rafiki 37 is a blue water cutter, heavy displacement full  keel, and Yanmar diesel engine. This aft cockpit cruiser has walkaround main deck. Cutter rig, and life-line system.

The roomy interior features teak bulkheads and trim,  and  teak & holly sole. Forward is the master cabin with double berth and ample storage. The salon has a convertible wraparound dinette to port. Galley is aft of the dinette and includes: 3-burner range with oven, microwave oven, Adler Barbour refrigerator with freezer, teak storage cabinets and drawers, and solid surface countertop.

These well-built blue water cruisers are rare to the market. The Stan Huntingford design makes for a wonderful offshore cruiser capable of taking you anywhere you wish to go! Full-keel underbody, pintle and gudgeon hung outboard rudder, and 12,000 lbs of ballast will be the most comfortable ride at sea you can imagine. 

This 37' Rafiki has 56-hp Yanmar diesel engine with 1250 hours. Electronics include: Garmin 440 chart plotter with North chip, fish finder / depth finder, Garmin GPS, Autohelm 2000 autopilot, VHF radio with speaker, and AM/FM/CD sound system.
