Sparkman and Stephens are known for drawing good looking seaworthy vessels. The Hughes 38 MK 3 is no exception. She boasts a fiberglass hull with lead keel, a skeg hung rudder, and a dry, safe cockpit. She has a raised cabin top with good walking deck space. This is not the stepped down cabin top, from earlier Hughes 38's. This is a well-balanced extremely seaworthy vessel capable of bluewater cruising across oceans. She sports a Yanmar three cylinder diesel engine, roller furling and wheel steering.

The interior of this Hughes 38 was custom built outside the factory and presents itself well.
