OFF DUTY II is a pristine example of Hunter's Deck Salon 41. She spent her life in freshwater in Canada. Even better, for half the year, she was hauled out for winter and only in the water for the summer cruising season. This Hunter DS is immaculate, inside and out with tons of extras that make cruising, weekending, and living aboard a pleasure.

If you are looking for a boat that has all the systems and conveniences you'd expect in a house and be capable of long-distance offshore passages, look no further than OFF DUTY II. With a wide beam and high freeboard, the interior space is light, bright, and comfortable with six-feet-ten-inches of headroom in the cabin. Her layout is, of course, the jewel of Hunter's crown. She offers a generous cockpit, smart galley layout, two private cabins, and loads of salon seating and stowage.

Even though Hunter managed to make the boat comfortable for living, they did not sacrifice performance to make that possible. The DS will sing at 6-7 knots even in sloppy seas without overpowering. She is easily driven and manageable in a stiff breeze, accelerating with grace while maintaining seakindliness. Apparently, Cruising World's 2006 Boat of the Year judges also think the Hunter Design Group was on the right track: The 41 DS was voted Best Production Cruiser 40 to 44 Feet.
