Designed by Glenn Henderson, the Hunter 44 Deck Salon offers exceptional sailing characteristics with an easy to handle sail plan. With in-mast furling, a fractional rig and all lines led aft to the safety of the cockpit, it is a comfortable cruiser that is easy to sail single handed or by a couple.   

Hunter has learned much from the IOR boats and has incorporated some of that technology into their cruising boats to enhance performance without sacrificing comfort and ease of sailing. The hull has a special \"bow hollow\" just aft of the stem, which provides a longer waterline to increase hull speed. The aft underbody has a \"stern reflex\", giving a flatter exit, adding stability and decreasing wake and turbulence.

The cockpit is comfortable, efficient and great for entertaining, with double stern rail seating, spacious cockpit seating and a large drop leaf table. The interior accommodations are luxurious and what one would expect to find on a much larger boat. The wrap-around salon windows offer a panoramic view of the outside and keep the space bright and open; the 6’ 11” headroom add to that feeling of spaciousness.
