General Condition
The Beneteau 49 represents an era of truly exceptional Beneteau sailing yachts. The profile and look of the hull and deck, designed by Berret/Racoupeau, were modernized while retaining the major assets that have made Beneteau yachts admired for decades. Below decks, Nauta drew strikingly beautiful lines combined with brilliant woodwork and superb materials to bring the Beneteau 49 to a fresh level of interior luxury.
The 3-Cabin layout is great for live-aboard and cruising couples, giving you an additional climate controlled cabin for stowage and clothes, while still leaving the other cabin and sleep space available for those occasional guests
 
Actual Condition
It is reported that in June 2015 this 49' Beneteau was underway and experienced a hard grounding on a ledge. The vessel was towed back to port and hauled. The inspection found scrapes and gouges on the keel and rudder. No other needed repairs were found at that time and the vessel was placed back into service as the vessel was not in a leaking condition.

During a replacement of a bilge mounted water pump, by a mechanic in the Fall of 2019, it was discovered that significant damage existed to the hull grid system.

The suggested repairs are:
-The hull grid system, under the salon sole and extending from the forward head and aft for 12 feet to the aft battery boxes, is compromised by fractured secondary bonding with the hull, as well as vertical fractures within the hull grid. This damage is most notable to starboard of centerline.
-Remove all interferences, including pumps, hoses, batteries, the bilge, and remove the cabin sole, cabin table and upholstery from the main salon.
-Grind back and re-laminate the secondary bond to manufacturer's schedules.
-Grind back and re-laminate the fractures in the grid box structures to original schedules.
-Clean and paint/re-gel coat the bilge.

-Sails are in storage at our Mendon, MA location.
