The design brief for the interior of FOXFIRE was to produce a light, bright and contemporary styled arrangement suitable for extended stays aboard for the Owners and occasional guests. As a contractor and custom home builder, the Owner was actively involved finishing the interior to his standards. Entering from the cockpit the spacious Salon features a U-shaped dinette to port with a custom inlaid hi-low dining/cocktail table, a 48\" Sony Bravia TV mounted on the forward bulkhead, deep settee to starboard and generous storage lockers and bookshelves outboard of each. The adjoining Galley just aft to port is open to the Salon and features generous Corian topped counter space for easy food preparation, custom top loading refrigerator and freezer, 3 burner LPG stove and oven, built in microwave, a large molded Corian double sink and abundant drawer and locker storage for cookware, crockery, and utensils. Just aft of the starboard settee and across from the Galley is the Navigation Station with chart table, flush mounted instrumentation and electrical distribution panel.
The full beam Master Stateroom is forward of the Salon and features a double berth to port with custom mattress (new 2017), drawer storage under and lockers and a bookshelf outboard. To starboard is a very large hanging locker and forward facing dressing table and seat. The Master
Head is forward with sink with granite counter to starboard, medicine cabinet above, large stall shower on centerline and Sea Land Vacuflush toilet to port. This stateroom and head are well ventilated and light with several opening overhead hatches and fixed ports in the hull sides. There is a private Guest Cabin aft to starboard which is accessed through the Guest Head aft of the Navigation Station. This cabin features a double berth with drawer storage under and hanging locker. The Guest Head has a separate stall shower with seat, washbasin, limestone counter and Sea Land Vacuflush toilet.
Just aft of the Galley on the port side is the built-in Washer/Dryer and quarter cabin with an upper and lower single berth each with lee cloths for comfortable offshore passage making. The forward bulkhead of the Master Head is watertight. This sail locker area is accessed from a hatch on the foredeck and includes storage for lines, fenders, sails and other large equipment.
