Location and local features

6km from the historic town of Ourique in the lower Alentejo, just north of the Algarve. (Albufeira is a 45 minute drive south. Enjoy life away from the immediate tourist hubbub but be near enough to enjoy it whenever you wish. An hour along the motorway to Faro airport and 2hrs from the delights of Lisbon. A scenic drive (an hour) to the fabulous, lesser known, less frequented beaches of the west coast. Exceptional mountain biking trails in the immediate area. Two giant lakes for fishing nearby. Many quality golf courses available in the Algarve.
