The village is close to the larger village of Rom, with its bar and village shop. The local weekly market in the nearby village of Lezay is one of the largest in the area, only 8 km away - here there is also a swimming pool, and nice restaurant and will satisfy most of your everyday needs, It is 40 minutes to Poitiers where there is city life and culture, plus the TGV link to UK and an airport served by a low cost airline, or 50 minutes to the lovely city of Angoulême or 1.25 hrs from La Rochelle and the coast.
