Probably built before 1177, the Palace is one of the most significant examples of Renaissance architecture in Abruzzo, dating from the fourteenth century. Strategically built on a rocky slopes towards the nearby sea, is one of the few buildings of that period of history located on the Adriatic coast, such as the Castle of Trieste and the Castel del Monte.
