From the cobbled streets of the pretty hill towns of Montone, Spello and Anghiari; the city of Perugia, famous for the jazz and chocolate festivals, or the battlefi eld of Tuoro (where Hannibal defeated the Roman Army in 217) and Lake Trasimeno, to the tomb of St. Francis of Assisi and the Foligno valley, there is a wealth of history to explore and many beautiful sights to visit or paint.

Main house
The main casa colonica was restored to an exacting standard between 2005 and 2006, retaining many original features of the old farmhouse, cleverly combined with high-end modern finishes throughout.

The ground floor consists of a large drawing room with a centrally placed wood burning stove, a formal dining room, (both of which have solid oak floors); a large, beautifully designed kitchen with a vaulted ceiling, an adjacent breakfast area and a walk-in larder. The finish of the kitchen units, complete with marble worktops, is designed to complement the age of the house and contains every conceivable modern convenience, complete with an “ILVE Range Style” cooker.

In addition there is a double garage close to the entrance gate with a mezzanine gallery and space for two cars and various other equipment.
There is a possibility that this building could be converted to further accommodation, with the requisite permissions. There are also two double covered carports, one of which provides separate parking for la Torretta.

Outdoor space

The complex is set in 6.5 hectares with olive groves producing up to 300 kg of olive oil, over 100 walnut trees and a 1.1-hectare paddock, with water and ideal for equestrian use. The 12 x 6m swimming pool is a beautifully executed project, complete with a small paddling area to one side that feeds into the main pool via a waterfall and is surrounded by a large solarium in natural stone.
