Jamestown Village - Mixed use property located in the center of Jamestowns Village business district. This recently built 2,900 sq. ft. gable roofed building is scaled to compliment Jamestowns commercial district buildings. It was designed by local Architect Shain Barzin in cooperation with Mary Meagher. The design is contemporary with a mix of traditional and modern architectural design features and the latest building materilas. The integration of the landscape elements and structure, combined with the use of Green technologies, such as Geothermal heating/cooling system, green roofs, LED lighting, and sustainable recylced materials, make this building extraordinary in desing and function.
Additional building features include solar panels on the south elevation roof for electricity production, high efficiency windows and doors, spray foam insulation, bamboo flooring and cabinetry. The Green roof areas provide for a casual outdoor office/lunch area complete with patio table area, while the spiral staircase leads to a 3rd level roof top deck/patio with views of the Newport Bridge and Narragansett Bay.
Jamestown is an island oasis, just minutes from Newport, The City by the Sea, and only 30 minutes from Providence, RI. This locations is an easy commute to larger metropolitan areas such as Boston or New York by car, train or when flying with the convenient TF Green Airport.
