Crane Operator (Offshore Rig)

Do you have prior experience offshore? Interested in joining a highly dynamic team? Our client is looking for an Offshore Crane Operator to add to their team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main Accountabilities:
•Supervising deck crew and make sure work environment is accordance with safety standards.
•Assist with helicopter operations
•Activities are typically wide-ranging as a recognized expert and problem-solver. This applies to all areas of safety management.
•Review housekeeping standards, take extra safety steps to make sure no one is at risk.
•Check up on cranes and other equipment to make sure it is at optimal operational condition to handle the workload.
•Make Sure Crane integrity is maintained to current legislative, corporate and manufacturers recommendations.
•Perform planned maintenance checks to ensure resources and spars are planned and executed on time.
•Solid understanding of Management of change process and to initiate change management events.
•Promote clear communication between the deck and vessel crew.
•Maintain cleanliness standards within Crane Cabin and machinery.

BACKGROUND:

Our Client is a multinational Offshore Deepwater Drilling company. Our Client has a fleet of over 50 rigs including jack-up, Drill ships, tender rigs and Semi Submersibles allowing them to operate in shallow as well as ultra- deep water in all environments. Our client values safety and strives to deliver a safe and secure environment to their loyal employee’s to promote smarter and more effective working.

PRE-REQUISITES:
•Experience on a semi-submersible or drill ship preferably 4 years experience.

Qualifications and Certification:
•Stage 3 Crane Operator license (or equivalent)
•HLO certificate is an advantage
•Valid offshore survival, OPITO or equivalent
•Valid offshore medical certificate
