Romantic B&B farm near El Gastor, Cadiz - the farm (finca) is surrounded by rolling hills of olive groves and Mediterranean vegetation. From its elevated position the finca enjoys unobstructed views over the country and the lake of Zahara de la Sierra.
There are several buildings in the grounds of 40,000 sq m with 160 olive, 20 almond and many other palm and fruit trees.
The main farm building (cortijo) consists of two separate units: one wing is dedicated to rental guests and goes over two floors and includes on the ground floor the lounge with the internal staircase to the upper floor, the bathroom and one double bedroom. Upstairs are the other three bedrooms, one double and two single.
Separated by a typical Andalusian patio full with colorful creepers and grape vines is the large kitchen with adjoining larder cum store room.
The second unit is entered through a small hall/lounge leading to a double bedroom to the right and the kitchen with a large romantic terrace and to the family bathroom which is also accessed by another adjoining living room with a loft .
Attached to the main house are a garage and a tool shed.. Slightly separated from the "cortijo" is another shed for tools etc. The whole building is typical for the traditional Andalusian farm style houses which adds to the charm of the place. The whole complex was caringly renovated maintaining the rustic ambiance and typical features such as the small patio with its bougainvillas and other plants.
About 100 meters from the houses is a "chiringuito", the typical Andalusian pool bar with sun terraces and a small pool. Interestingly, the "chiringuito" has a municipal licence to be operated as club facility allowing the public of the neighborhood to attend special grill parties and celebrations at weekends. The farm has mains electricity and water comes from the private well. Telephone and internet access is also available. The next village, El Gastor, can be reached within minutes, the larger town of Algodonales is 10 km away and the popular town of Ronda 25 km. The lake can be reached on a 400 meter foot path. A great place for somebody wanting to combine retirement in natural surroundings with the income of a small B&B business.
