Gracehaven Aged Care Services

Gracehaven Aged Care Service offers accommodation for 107 high and low care residents. Established in 1983, the facility is located in the heart of Bundaberg and offers residents peaceful living in a leafy setting. In July 2008, Churches of Christ Care (Care) took over management of Gracehaven Aged Care Services from St John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bundaberg.

The facility has been designed to create a warm, friendly and comfortable environment where our residents can enjoy individually tailored, personal care. Our facilities offer support for ageing in place, with community based aged care available to residents and retirement living options offered on-site.

Hostel

The 45-bed hostel is tastefully furnished with comfortable lounge and dining areas. Residents have their own private room with ensuite, wall heater, ceiling fan and emergency call system. Ample wardrobe and storage areas are provided. The hostel includes 16 beds for residents with special care needs.

Nursing home

Every effort has been made to create a homelike environment for the 62 residents in the nursing home. There are several attractive lounge areas and pleasant outdoor living spaces. Residents are provided with heating and cooling in their room, as well as ample power supply for TV or radio.

The following facilities and services are provided:

* hairdresser
* chaplaincy support
* pharmaceutical, podiatrist and physiotherapist services
* dedicated volunteers who share their time and skills with residents
* monthly bus trips to local attractions
* planned social activities including concerts, games and craft.
