Translated “Palazuelos” means “Little Palace” and that is exactly what it is!
The building was first mentioned in the eleventh century and the there is a romantic tale spinning around one of its early occupants, the princess Aixa Galiana, grand-daughter of the last arab king of Toledo, who after having been sent to Ávila for higher education fled with her sweet hard to Talavera.

History is present wherever you look: rebuilt in the 16th century there are many original features such as the hand-made floor tiles, original carved wooden ceilings, heavy wooden doors, the original well still in use and the historic bakery. Many seals and columns also date from this time.

Today the country home is fitted with all modern installations, central heating, a completely new kitchen and new windows. There are 500 m2 (5,500 sq f) of living space spread over two floors with the guest apartment and the staff accommodation being situated on the ground floor. There are a total of 11 rooms including 6 bedrooms plus 5 bathrooms. The intimate garden cannot be seen in from the outside and the large 14 x 7 meter pool ( needing renovation) invites for a refreshing swim. Next to the baking house are a barbecue and wash rooms.

The equestrian facilities include 10 spacious boxes, a 40 x 55 meter riding arena, grazing areas and fenced paddocks which can be seen from the house. There also are several barns and garages. The property has mains electricity and gets water from an own well with a capacity of 1,000 liters/hour. Internet and telephone is provided by satellite. The farm has a hunting license for wild boar.

“Palazuelos” lies about 10 minutes from the nearest shopping centers, schools and the train station.
