Key Ready Apartment in Los Alcazares has been built in a private residential 21 blocks with 3 differents leisure areas, three wide swimming pools and gardens, in a typical Mediterranean village. This village has a traditional architectural style, the same style on the outside design instead, although inside the property has been designed in a higher technology.

The innumerable services and activities that this village offers make your stay very pleasant whether if it's just for holidays or for year round living. It's surrounded by supermarkets, shops, golf courses, international schools, medical services, etc. with kind temperatures all year and close to the sea.

Located next to the shores of the Mar Menor, Los Alcazares offers seven kilometres of coastline from Los Narejos to Punta Brava and dedicates a large part of its economic activity to the industry of services and tourism. The name of the municipality comes from the Arabic word 'Al Kazar', which means palace or 'house of nobles', buildings that were constructed by the Arabs for their holidays and relaxation in this place. Furthermore, the Moors discovered the excellent properties of the water of the Mar Menor, which they enjoyed in the ancient Roman baths that were located there and which they reused. With the Christian repopulation, Los Alcazares became truly important as a port for fishing and trade, given its excellent strategic position. At the beginning of the 20th Century, the inhabitants of La Huerta Region of Murcia began to visit this town in August to take the famous 'novenaries' (a series of nine baths). On the shore, there is a silent witness to the 'explosion' of this municipality: the Hotel-Spa La Encarnacion, which was built in 1904 and which maintains the idiosyncrasies of the beginnings of the last century.

The main activity in Los Alcazares is tourism, the hotel of La Encarnacion the most historic on the shores of the Mar Menor, Europe's largest salt water lake, which multiplies the population in summer with holidaymakers, attracted by kilometres of soft sands, the warm and safe shallow waters and the opportunities to enjoy the superb watersports facilities. The Mar Menor is renown for its safe sailing and afternoon thermal winds, with kitesurfers and windsurfers taking advantage of the clean run from shore to shore, and learners enjoying the safety of an enclosed lagoon, whilst more experienced sailors can head out into the Mediterranean or charter yachts for exploring along the Murcian coastline.

Los Alcazares is also the location of the only surviving Balneario which is still in use today as a restaurant, a vestige from the days when bathers wished to maintain a level of decorum by descending into the waters from the privacy of a bathing hut, rather than baring all on the beach. This part of the beach is also the focal point for one of the most important gastronomic traditions of the region: the preparation of the intensely fish based dish of caldero, the staple diet of the fishing population who fished from these shores before the onset of tourism.

Los Alcazares has been the chosen destination of Murcians from the capital for centuries, and celebrates the annual migration of the huertanos with its vibrant and colourful Semana de la Huerta y El Mar, filling the town with the scent of murcian tapas, the colourful costumes of folk dancers and a selection of artesan crafts from across the Region.

Los Alcazares also hosts one of the best mediaeval markets in the region, when it celebrates its Berber fiestas, commemorating the raids by Berber Pirates which were such a feature of it's history during the 16th and 17th centuries.

The town is also home to an established ex-pat community, with a wealth of social activities and organisations for the English speaking population, and offers residential properties in established urban locations, rather than on newer and more isolated urbanisations.

Los Alcazares is in the east of the Region of Murcia on the shore of the Mar Menor, very close to the airport of San Javier and about half an hour's drive from the new International Airport at Corvera, with good connections along the Mar Menor to arterial links throughout the Region.

Found on the shores of the Mar Menor, this town has for generations been considered the ideal place to relax as you enjoy its beaches and water sports. Today, Los Alcazares is one of the top tourist destinations in the whole region.
