Situated in a dominant position on the Piedmont side of Lake Maggiore, this Art Nouveau villa is one of the most important properties in the area and was designed as an elegant, majestic dwelling right from the start, when the first stone was put in place, in the year 1900. Surrounded by a lush park and two outbuildings (one of which is in need of renovation), it has a total floor area of approximately 1,030 sqm.

The villa is located on the nobler side of Lake Maggiore, in an ancient village, where time passes quietly, marked by the chiming of bells from a little 13th century church, just 15 minutes (10 km) from the A26 motorway exit and at an equal distance from Milan (70 km) and Como (80 km), both an hour away by car, while Lugano (80 km) and Turin (130 km) can be reached in an hour and a quarter.
The nearest international airport is that of Milan Malpensa, just 35 km away, while Milan Linate is about 100 km away.

Description

The main villa

The villa is a wonderful example of Art Nouveau architecture with Neo-Gothic influences. It is spread over three levels, plus a basement floor, and has a total gross floor area of 1016 sqm, as well as about 30 sqm of terraces and 39 sqm of porches.

The main entrance to the villa can be reached through a lovely portico with views of the lake. It opens into an entrance hall/living room and a spacious hallway, which leads to an original Art Nouveau staircase and, from here, to a large kitchen with a view and a separate exit into the park.
Also on this floor, there is a large dining room and another lounge.
