Squid Island, one of the prettiest islands in Mahone Bay, is just a short boat ride from the coastal community of Chester Basin and the beautiful village of Chester. Close to a few full service marinas, Squid Island is near the Atlantica Hotel and Marina, overlooking Oak Island. The picturesque area is renown for some of the finest sailing on the Eastern Seaboard. Consisting of 12 pristine acres, Squid Island has never been subdivided. It is not often that an entire island is offered for sale. With a mixture of hard and soft woods, the island is nicely treed. It has been silvicultured. The crescent shaped, sandy beach offers a great sheltered spot to construct a wharf. There is a 3 acre grassy area and a large fresh water pond. There are three C-1 approved, septic tested sites. Squid would make a wonderful island retreat and is large enough for a family compound. Squid island is one of approximately 365 islands in the waters of Mahone Bay, on Nova Scotia's treasured Bluennose Coast.
