As the door opens the quality of materials and level of finish we have seen so far continue with an entrance hall leading to a large lounge/dining room with fireplace, tiled and heated flooring and two large windows leading directly to a wonderful south facing terrace. The kitchen is well equipped and big enough for a breakfast table and also benefits from direct access to the terrace, ideal for that morning croissant or al-fresco dining that this area is famous for. A private corridor leads to a single and double bedrooms both with solid parquet floors, the bathroom with jacuzzi bath is large and light and there is a separate wc.

Stairs from the lounge take you to a sizeable landing are with a door leading to a large double bedroom with double aspect views. Across the landing you'll discover an office area and dressing/storage room as well as a shower and wc.

The south terrace is large and has fantastic views over the countryside and nearby woodland and below we overlook the formal gardens with paths and resting areas. The property comes with a wine cellar in the basement and two reserved exterior parking spaces.

The chateau is located on the edge of a quiet residential area with excellent access to a hospital and shopping centre only 10 minutes away. A short drive sees you in Chinon itself with enough restaurants and wine caves to while away many hours. Excellent access to autoroutes to explore France and Europe whilst offering a more than comfortable base in the heart of the Loire Valley, although with the pool, spa and sauna on site coupled with those great views I'm not sure that we'd be rushing off anywhere soon.

Access to the region is good. There are low cost flights and the TGV fast train into Tours. Access to the region by car is also good with excellent motorway access. You can also fly into Paris and drive or take the train from there.
