RARE OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE THE FREEHOLD OF A SUCCESSFUL RESTAURANT IN ONE OF THE MOST RENOWNED RESORTS ON THE COAST
Fantastic opportunity for someone to walk in to an operating business from day one. This restaurant has been run and managed by a husband and wife team for the last 17 years. Currently only trading from March-October AND closing on a Saturday, this already established business has LOADS OF POTENTIAL to increase the annual revenue immediately. At the moment the restaurant opens from 6pm so there is also a lunch market to captivate.
NO TERRACE TAX to pay and community fees are only €23 PER MONTH!
YOU WILL FIND IT HARD TO COME ACROSS A SIMILAR BUSINESS WITH SUCH LOW RUNNING COSTS
**VIEWINGS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. For interested parties, trading figures will be available.
The restaurant itself offers a varied International menu with lots of firm favourites and has a good local following as well as a huge amount of tourists who flock to this popular beachside resort.
The business comes as seen and is fully equipped to seat around 46 diners, half on the terrace and half inside the tastefully finished restaurant. The vendors usually only do 1 sitting per evening, so there really is scope for an enthusiastic entrepreneur/entrpeneurs to increase the number of covers.
There is crockery, glasses and cutlery provided for 80 covers.
As a former Chef myself, it is a delight to list this business as the restaurant and kitchen are spotlessly clean. The kitchen is all stainless steel and has 2 double door work-top fridges, a griddle, double gas fryer, dishwasher, sink, electric oven, 3 microwaves, vegetable fridge, 2 freezers, extractor unit, bain-marie with 6 Gastronome containers and there are two double bottle fridges in the bar.
Upstairs there are guest toilets, a storage room and extra fridges and freezers.
This business could be run by a husband and wife team with two or three staff or could be expanded into a much bigger concern.
TAKE A LOOK AT THIS-FREEHOLDS ON THE MIJAS COSTA ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN!
Mijas Costa is the stretch of coastline that lies in between the boundaries of Fuengirola and Marbella. Most of this stretch of land has been urbanised and includes the resorts of El Faro, El Chaperral, La Cala de Mijas, Riviera del Sol, Calahonda and Sitio de Calahonda. Sitio de Calahonda is the largest urbanisation on this part of the costa and Calahonda beach is the largest beach in the Mijas municipality covering 4.5km of coastline. The coastal bus service links all of these resorts and within Mijas Costa there are 12 golf courses. On its border with Fuengirola lies the Miramar shopping centre and the water park.
El Faro sits on a peninsular and is just a few kilometres from Fuengirola and 28km from Malaga International Airport and is known to the locals for its lighthouse that stands over the peninsula's point. There is some rocky coastline; hence the lighthouse but either side there are pleasant sandy beaches. This is a popular spot for surfers. The resort is supported by a few Chiringuittos (beach bars) and a number of bars and restaurants can be found either side of the main road at El Faro Playa. It is mainly an urbanised residential area that is very popular with self-catering apartment/villa holidays. For a livelier pace of life, Fuengirola is just a short walk away or a bit of a further walk in the opposite direction is La Cala de Mijas.
El Chaparral is a small resort and the urbanisations are built around the El Chaparral golf course and it is 30km from Malaga International Airport. It is one of the quieter tourist destinations but a great destination for the golf enthusiast. There is a number of self-catering holiday apartments/villas and most are a short walk to the beach where there are plenty of sun beds and a beach restaurant. There are a few bars and restaurants but for a wider selection Fuengirola is just a 15 minute walk away and a 10 minute walk away in the opposition is La Cala de Mija. El Chaparral is a great place to relax, sunbathe, explore and walk.
La Cala de Mijas is at the centre of Mijas Costa and is only 31km from Malaga International Airport. Originally a small fishing village, La Cala has grown over the past 10 - 15 years into a small thriving town but has still maintained its Spanish village appeal which attracts many foreign tourists and residents. La Cala's development has led to a vastly improved infrastructure with the introduction of a health centre and a number of new schools. There is also a golf course. Sitio de Calahonda actually falls in the boundaries of La Cala de Mijas.
Riviera del Sol is located a few kilometres from La Cala de Mijas and 33km from Malaga International Airport. The 200 store La Canada shopping centre that has a number of bars and restaurants is less than 20km away. The beach is quieter than that of its neighbouring resorts and has a Chiringuito supplying food and drinks. There is a golf course situated in this resort. Just off the main coastal road is the commercial centre of the resort housing a number of bars and restaurants and a supermarket. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants in the area and some more localised establishments closer to the urbanisations situated further from the centre of the resort.
Calahonda with its beach stretching 4.5km is situated 35km from Malaga International Airport. The resort has grown less aggressively than that of some of its neighbouring resorts due to building restrictions on green land and limitations on apartment developments has allowed Calahonda to maintain most of its charm.
