McQuoin Park

McQuoin Park, a 73 low and high care residential aged community, promotes a philosophy that recognises the value and individuality of each and every resident.

Designed to provide a homelike environment, there is low care accommodation for 33 older people who are encouraged to be as independent as possible. Each of the three levels of this accommodation has a servery, lounge and dining room.

There is high care accommodation for 40 older people and offers supportive nursing care. Respite care is also available.

A Seniors Living community of 35 self-care units is located on the same site as McQuoin Park. The units comprise one and two-bedrooms for people who are able to live independently in a village environment.

McQuoin Park is accredited by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency.

History

McQuoin Park was opened in September 1984. It was named to honour Sister Ignatius McQuoin who founded the North Sydney Sisters of Mercy congregation in 1865.

Formerly a ministry of the Sisters of Mercy, North Sydney, it was transitioned to Catholic Healthcare in 2004.

The Sisters of Mercy, North Sydney are a member organisation of Catholic Healthcare.

Transport

McQuoin Park can be reached by car from the Pacific Highway via Unwin Rd from Hornsby and Yardley Avenue from the city.

Bus services are located along the Pacific Highway for Hornsby and the Hills Districts. The Waitara rail station is a short stroll along the highway and access is available from gates to McQuoin Park along the Pacific Highway.

A drop off point is available near the entry to reception and there are two on-site car parks.
