We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, active, flexible Driver/Mobile Unit Assistant, in Manchester, NH area.

This is a FT position working a varying schedule including early mornings, evenings, frequent weekends and occasional holidays.

JOB SUMMARY: Provide support to the collections operation by performing set-up activities of supplies and equipment at fixed sites or mobiles. Performs drive support activities including discontinuing blood units. Drive blood collection vehicles to transport required supplies, equipment, blood products and staff to and from mobile sites. Load and unload trucks and other vehicles. Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive image of the American Red Cross Biomedical Services. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures,

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Satisfactory performance as a MUA I or the equivalent related experience is preferred. A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required (commercial driver's license strongly preferred). Previous truck driving experience is preferred. Will be required to pass DOT physical and related requirements. Effective verbal communication and public relations skills are required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes is required.
