Project Manager (Oil & Gas)

Our client is a multinational firm with its base in Singapore. They have built a reputation for themselves in the Oil & Gas, for providing top-notch downstream solutions. They are looking for their next energetic, dynamic and organized Project Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee detailed design and construction of projects.
• Manage design processes including consultant appointments and performance.
• Manage and coordinate pre-consultations and approvals with regulatory authorities.
• Managing and handling partnership stakeholders expectations and relationships
• Monitor progress and completion of project and ensure it stays within approved budget, time, quality standards, safety standards and government standards.
• Manage all costs, project schedule and engineering design.
• Engage in detailed engineering design for optimization of system with Contractors.
• Review and verify contractor proposed design (P&IDs) according to customers’ requirements, international industrial standards and requirement including compliance with statutory codes and corporate guidelines.
• Ensure proper integration of P&IDs designs during execution, testing and commissioning phases to achieve targeted datelines.
• Engage in pre-tender exercise for selection of contractors and critical equipment.
• Setting up project related cost control structure for monitoring, steering & reporting purposes
• Prepare monthly project updates / reports
• Prepare tender documents and evaluate tender submissions.
• Interpret P&IDs and discuss with all stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to Operations and Maintenance teams
• Communicate effectively with contractors, consultants and suppliers
• Lead internal and external meetings in order facilitate the project.

BACKGROUND:

PER-REQUISITES:

• 8 years min. experience in the industry
• Professional degree holder in Civil/Mechanical Engineering/Electrical/Chemical from reputable University or 10 years in the industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Software skills:
MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Autocad
Experience:
• Managing and handling partnership stake holders expectations and relationships.
• Project cost control skills
• EPC contractor employment background in the oil & gas industry / plant construction.
• Green field project above S$100M contract sum preferred
• Familiar with local codes, regulations and standards.
• Familiar with international codes of practices (eg API, IEC etc).
• Have a good working knowledge of the Building Control Acts and the requirements for TOP/CSC.
