SENIOR CIVIL & STRUCTURAL ENGINEER - *** HONG KONG

A first class Consultancy firm is looking for a Senior Civil and Structural Engineer, for civil, infrastructure and structural projects in Hong Kong and Asia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accountable for all civil and structural design work
Examine risks and structural integrity, calculate pressures, consider the strengths of various materials
Assist and review on detailed drawings and plans for civil and structural designs
Responsible for submitting all Technical Drawings and work schedules for approval
Proficient ability to lead design team: delegate tasks and complete work to Client deadline
Liaise with Contractors, Clients, Architects
Ensure designs fit Client requirements and specifications
Ensure designs meet health and safety standards and regulations
Throughout construction process, inspect all Structural work and overcome unforeseen design issues
Attend and deliver meetings and presentations
Must have previously worked on rails, substations, cut & cover, temporary work designs
Lead and manage team

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
MUST have previous experience in design submissions and design auditing
Member of HKIE (Structural or Civil) and/or MIStructE would be ADVANTAGEOUS
MUST be familiar with Building Ordinance and regulations
Knowledgeable in software programs ie, ETABS, STAAD
Ability to lead a small team, manage time and delegate tasks
Self motivated individual, forward thinking with strong communication skills
Minimum 8 years experience, those with less will be considered for Engineering position
Fluent in Cantonese and English.
