JOB TITLE

SENIOR ENGINEER (CIVIL / STRUCTURAL)

Our client is one of the leading Building & Civil contractors in Asia. They have a number of current large scale groundbreaking projects with tenders in place for some of Asia’s most prestigious upcoming projects.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

Main Accountabilities

Function as a main point of contact with clients / main contractor, architects, consultants, suppliers and sub-contractors
Responsible for submission of technical drawings, work programs and samples for client/main contractor for submission and approvals
Attend site meetings with owners/ subcontractors
Responsible for overall aspects of management of the subcontractors. Leading and managing Project/Site Engineers, Foremen, Site Supervisors & other site operatives.
Plan work schedule and delivery of equipment to site
Responsible for Monthly progress claims and Project costing
Raise material requisition for local material ordering where applicable
Responsible for all aspects of site safety

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a highly experienced Senior Engineer, you will be key to the Structural Design of all Structural Works, advising on design, installation and erection of the structure. You will be involved at design stage, and be involved with preparation of structural drawings and scheduling.

Your experience means that you will provide strong technical advise on designs. You have a sound understanding of steel structures and all associated methodology. You are the central contact point in maintaining high technical standards for steel works. You will ensure all structural works adhere to international standards and coding, and you shall be the first point of contact for structural and engineering design needs.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Qualification/Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
A minimum of 5 years experience in a Senior role, supervising for structural projects
Professional qualifications like MICE , MHKIE, MISE or equivalent would be a distinct advantage
Must have a proven track record with steel Structural projects
