Chalet Diosaz is a well-situated, traditional chalet in the centre of the calm, sunny village of Servoz and close to the popular Gorges de la Diosaz.

Built in 1994, the chalet has been constructed in a traditional style using old timbers throughout. It sits on a large plot of land in an idyllic spot next to the river. Although central, the plot is very private giving the best of both worlds.

The ground floor comprises an entrance hall, 2 bedrooms, games room, bathroom and separate WC. There is also a garage which has been converted into a large laundry room with shower plus a bedroom, which together could easily be made into an independent 1 bedroom apartment.

Stairs lead up from the hallway to main living area, which has been built with much character and attention to detail. This level comprises a large, fitted kitchen, WC and dining/living area with glass doors onto a large balcony with excellent views of the valley and peaks. A half flight of stairs lead up to a second living area with an attractive stone fireplace as well as a bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Just up from this level is a large mezzanine bedroom which could easily be closed off if need be.

At lower ground level, there is plenty of space for future development. There are 3 rooms presently used for storage and a wine cellar, but could be used to create a sauna, cinema room or other ancillary space.

The chalet has underfloor heating throughout, electric security shutters and external parking for several cars.

Our opinion Chalet Diosaz is a lovely, charming chalet in a great position in Servoz. It combines the comfort of modern construction with the character of traditional design, but it is the attractive garden and river frontage that make it something special.

Chalet Diosaz is located in the centre of Servoz, a village which offers unspoilt alpine tranquility. It is generally 4 degrees warmer than Chamonix and is a short drive to a choice of ski areas, including les Houches (6 minutes), Chamonix (14 minutes) and St Gervais (14 minutes). For public transport, the chalet is 850 metres from the train station and less than 50 metres from the nearest bus stop.

There is a small selection of restaurants, bars, post office and a supermarket close to the chalet. It is also close to the Gorges de la Diosaz, a spectacular gorge popular with tourists.
