Los Guajares municipal district is located in the south of Granada province. At only 62 kilometers from Granada City. The district is composed of three whitewash villages: Gu�jar Alto, Gu�jar Farag�it and Gu�jar Fond�n. These towns are distributed in mountain range that has the same name as the district.
Three hidden and almost forgotten towns, until recently a small road has opened them to the world. That is why they keep much of the ancient purity among whitewash houses, beautiful flowers, kind village people and dreamy landscape.
Gu�jar Alto is located at the end of the road that joins these villages with N-323 (The road that goes from Granada City to the Tropical Seaside.) This village is located in the mountain and it has the highest elevation. Gu�jar Farag�it (hidden Jarden in Arabic) is the administrative center. All the district services are located here. Gu�jar Fond�n is located close to the Rio de la Toba (Toba River) surrounded by numerous fruit trees.
Los Guajares location is perfect. These hidden small towns are located at only 45 minutes by car from Granada City and 50 minutes from it's International Airport. Only 20 minutes away from the closest beach and 1 hour away from Sierra Nevada (Snow-covered mountain range). The quaint Alpujarras are located only at 30 minutes by car.
