At Stretton Gardens Retirement Estate our job is to take care of all the stressful stuff and free our residents up to live the life they want. We are situated on 18 acres of bushland, so the surroundings are the ultimate in peace & tranquillity. When residents want access to community style living, all our excellent facilities are on hand.

We run community based events in our centre like indoor bowls and have the most beautiful pool, spa and barbecue areas. Happy hour at our bar and café encourage new friendships to develop and our residents never feel isolated, however, individuals’ privacy is always respected.

Being only minutes from the local shopping centre and within easy access of Brisbane city, our residents are never far from the action and friends and family visit often. We organise regular day trips in our own village bus, life is never boring. Southern Cross Care (Qld) maintain the quality of the resort style village and also manage the security of our lovely 2 bedroom plus study units.

If our residents have a partner who has the need for a level of assisted care, there is the added benefit of a co-located aged care facility at Stretton Gardens. Many of our residents say this gives the peace of mind they need for the future and wish they had moved into Stretton Gardens sooner.

Southern Cross Care (Qld) Inc is a not-for-profit, charitable organisation registered under the Queensland Government ‘Associations Incorporation Act’.

We originally operated under the banner 'Southern Cross Homes for the Aged Inc' as a direct reflection of our core services.

In August 2001 we changed our name to Southern Cross Care (Qld) Inc to reflect our broader role, which now covers retirement villages and community care services.

We have grown significantly since our beginnings, and now boast aged care facilities right across South East Queensland.

We manage 6 retirement villages and low cost housing, 4 rental unit complexes and 11 residential aged care facilities.

The Community Care at Home arm of our organisation operates across South East Queensland, with main offices in Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich and the Gold Coast.
