JOB TITLE

STRUCTURAL ENGINEER - DUBAI

A prestigious, international Consultancy is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team in Dubai. You will be associated with landmark architecture and innovative design solutions, shifting and developing the urban landscape.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

You will develop strong Client relationships
Be involved in all projects from initial concepts to completion
Ensure work is completed to schedule and to required Client standard
Manage and enhance budgets
Up to date knowledge in latest structural engineering innovations and Client awareness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will examine risk factors and advise on improvements of structural integrity
Review plans, specifications and any special provisions. Investigate problems and accommodate for alternative solutions
Analyse structural building calculations and strengths of materials and how their inclusion may change the structural design
You will attend pre-construction, pre-fabrication and progress meetings during the project assembly
Calculate pressures, stresses and strains due to human use and environmental forces
You will have strong communication skills, ability to prioritise and manage time and work schedules
Submit drawings, plans and specifications to Contractors
You will be working closely with Clients, Contractors and must be able to communicate succinct ideas, designs, methods, and solutions
Liaise with designers and architects to agree on safe and aesthetic design concept
Coordinate all work from initial planning
You will supervise and direct the team and perform quality checks throughout the project.

Firmly established, international Engineering Consultancy in South East Asia, is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their office in Dubai. Since its early days, our Client has been a major contributor to the urban landscape and physical development in South East Asia.

With offices located all over Asia, and a collective workforce of more than 1000, they have worked on too many architectural landmarks to name, in Hong Kong alone, now they are continuing to expand into the Dubai market.

They offer a full integrated planning, engineering and project management service, with support from each division, which include architectural, mechanical and structural teams.
Committed to delivering innovative designs and engineering solutions, they aim to create buildings that are both aesthetically pleasing and have minimal impact on the environment and the surroundings.

DETAILED You will be responsible for the structural design of civil, build and infrastructure projects. You will be working closely with Clients, Consultants and authorities. Apply expert knowledge and solve technical issues, including design concepts, structural integrity and ground analysis.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Degree or above in Civil or Structural Engineering
Minimum 5 years relevant post-graduate experience in Structural Design
Must have high-rise design and practical experience
Seismic design and contract administration experience is advantageous
Self-motivated individual, high level of professionalism, integrity and good working attitude
Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and Client face
Fluent in English
Preferably with International project design experience.
