Son Ferrer is a village in the municipality of Calvia located less than 20 km (12 mi) from Majorca’s capital, Palma de Mallorca. Its neighbours include El Toro, Santa Ponsa and the forested area of Cala Figuera.  Paseo Calviá, a promenade of the municipality, passes through Son Ferrer. Golf courses are also nearby.

A peculiarity of the town is that every street except for one, the Ca’n Ferrer, is named after a bird. Commercial streets carry names of large birds, while the residential areas have small bird street names. The town has its own football team, CF Son Ferrer.
